Mindfulness events

Book now for a series of three sessions: ‘Living in the present while learning from the past and helping to create the future’, all on Monday evenings at 7.30 pm at the Oasis in Cheltenham.

You will get the most from the sessions if you are able to commit to all three (but you can still book for one or two).

We have intentionally spread the sessions out to aid reflection between sessions.

  • 17 June: growing our awareness of the present
  • 8 July: learning from the past while being in the present
  • 22 July: helping to create the future while being in the present

You will hear a variety of insights to help in your journey of awareness including excerpts from Spencer Johnson’s best-selling (short) book The Present: the secret to enjoying your work and life now.

We have an Essence code – or approach – that we adopt. We use the code as a reminder of the approach at the start of sessions – and you can read it here.

Sessions include guided meditation as well as time for individual reflection. Often it is by taking the time to reflect, to rest, and to be still that we each gain insight. We structure Essence events to allow for this time. There are also opportunities to share your experiences or simply listen to the experiences of others. Beyond these elements, each session has a blend of activities. These might include more active ways to reflect using a variety of materials, film, poetry or music. All activities are completely optional – with the kettle on throughout!
